I am unapologetically in love with the landscape. This appreciation has fueled my work for decades.
I want that moment when aromas rise and sounds reveal unseen life.
The work I am sharing with you represents both my love of the grand views of the Great Plains, and also a more intimate understanding of the profound simplicity of life.
Nebraska native Patricia Scarborough has focused on painting the shapes and shadows of the Midwest since she wound her way through Kearney State College, graduating eventually with a degree in Fine Art. She has studied with many fine artists, and considers experience to be her finest teacher.
Patty, as she is known to her friends, works from her home studio, making regular forays into the countryside near her home in south central Nebraska in pursuit of an understanding of her place in this rural environment.
